Moderation and appeals policy
This policy explains how reports are reviewed, what enforcement actions are available, and how appeals are handled during Swivver's early stage.
Last updated: March 3, 2026.
Report intake
Users may report misinformation, harmful content, IP concerns, or harassment. Reports enter a case workflow for review.
Case workflow
Cases may move through states such as received, triage, in review, actioned, appealed, and closed. Priority is based on severity, potential harm, and available evidence.
Possible enforcement actions
- Apply or update labels and contextual notices.
- Limit distribution while review continues.
- Require corrections or source clarifications.
- Remove content for severe or repeated violations.
- Restrict or suspend accounts in serious cases.
Appeals
Impacted users may request a secondary review for eligible moderation outcomes. Appeals should include context or evidence not previously considered when possible.
Transparency and records
Moderation outcomes may update visible story labels and case records. Swivver aims to keep moderation reasoning inspectable while balancing privacy and safety constraints.
